Tortured by your eyes~

And the soul just passed away
in 'You'...

My master

intoxicated...

I am
from intimacy I feel
within your eyes..

A realm of joy
beyond everything known...

Helpless and blinded
by the affection which
softly wanders there

It is you..
The freshness
which make my spirit
so aware of all the heights

Your eyes are the vision
that make me exist
and become amorous
with the self
which I veiled for so long...

But now I crossed
the seas of ignorance..

Please let nothing scare you...

Let me just escape with you
even for brief moment
the prison of my pride

to another timeless world
where mysteries are yet to be found~

Author notes

"But how about the eyes, they eyes, they eyes?
Mirrors can kill and talk, they are terrible rooms
In which a torture goes on one can only watch.
The face that lived in this mirror is the face of a dead man."
-The Courage of Shutting Up

This is amazing, very interesting to read. The word choice is good and the presentation is perfect. Refreshing, in a way, just the way it it put together.
    Well penned.

A lamplit walk into the Great Mystery...

Let me add my own expression of praise for this work, for it seems all agree, this is a deep and moving write. The sweetest lines, for me, are these: "Helpless and blinded by the affection that softly wanders there. It is You...The freshness that makes my spirit so aware of all the heights."...So gentle a Love is expressed in these words, so capable to carry one in their blindness and helplessness...another delightful read, my friend. Best wishes for a trophy in the contest. You certainly have been inspired and inspiring as well. Peace, Rhonda

N o critique this time Ruby, though I know some might pull you up on the number of ...'s, which I always forget the name of. Again it is written very well, very expressive and clear in its meaning.

How we are given to take comfort where we may, on a road which is not for those of feeble heart. How this can be given for us and how to discriminate between that which is from Him and that which we allow to steal us from Him. Are we not all, so frequently tested in this? Or is it just me?

I believe, you are an excellent poet Ruby!

Maybe just 'You' ..Just kidding..You are right..We are always tested in everything..

Thank you for your lovely comment and I never consider myself to be poet.. I would love to leave that name for my Allama Rumi ..but I am honoured if Karim say so

Oh, I like this. This is an amazing expression, that's obviously heartfelt and I think you've used the quote well. The punctuation and form marks itfeel like something that's whispered or passing thoughts wishing to be verbalised. Love it. Thanks for entering!
