That matter so much to me
Are the everyday living
And the gifts that come so free
A little child's wrinkled up nose
When he laughs at nothing at all
The pencil marks on the doorway
Checking to see if they have grown so tall
Tiny little fingers wrapped around my thumb
Tugging at my heart strings, when the day is done
Little knees that kneel, by the bedside every night
Thanking God for everything, and the day of fun
A tiny little face with a smile so big and bright
A dancing pair of eyes of very deep, deep blue
Hair as black as midnight, skin that's tanned so brown
He's quite a bundle of joy, whose love is very true
So many little things fill our life each day
They carry us through the day and also through the night
We sometimes take for granted as we walk along life's way
But, memories are precious, locked in our storehouse tight

Wonderful!
I have so much admiration for those think this way, everything always seems to be materialistic, status and greed. I don't know if it's only me, but wonderful people like you seem to be a dying breed. Thanks for reminding us all with this beautiful, true and touching poem, of what really matters in life!
Best of luck in the contest!

This little store house of treasures
I believe is what keeps us going from lonely day to lonely day. When we can close our eyes and picture that little one there. The may be a grand child of 3or 4. The may be our child at 38 ao 34. the chucles they still bring, even a little tear because they are gone. That is what life is all about and keep us going strong....mac

Lovely write here
So true are your words and yes if we dont take the time to learn love from our children as we expect them to learn life from us how would they know for sure its the right thing to do .For an adult should never ask of a child what they wont do themselves
