Listening to ghost songs
standing in the twilight fog
grey mist spreading in the blood
enwrapped in silence
standing in the twilight fog
drawn by a wraithly refrain
enwrapped in silence
contemplating the other
drawn by a wraithly refrain
grey mist spreading in the blood
contemplating the other
listening to ghost songs.
standing in the twilight fog

enwrapped in silence
standing in the twilight fog
drawn by a wraithly refrain
enwrapped in silence
contemplating the other
drawn by a wraithly refrain
grey mist spreading in the blood
contemplating the other
listening to ghost songs.
Author notes
I discovered an interesting, rare form of poetry the other day called a pantoum. Instead of having a repeating rhyming sequence, it has a repeating /line/ sequence. It was an interesting challenge. I think I'll definitely be writing more of these, and experimenting further with that general type of form.
