When daylight's pink fingers
touch the farthest shore of lake Michigan,
I will be there.
When the clouds dance far above the earth
wrapped in a lofty embrace with the wind,
I will come.
When the trees speak
in tongues of angels and goblins,
I will appear.
When you wonder if daylight will ever
hug the jet sky
I will comfort you.
And there on the sand you will ask me if I love you
and
I
will
say...
When the laughing stars appear in the sky
just below the pregnant moon
I will answer.

A lovely sentiment!
Enjoyed this poem greatly! Nice imagery and flow!

There's definitely spirit in this piece. Though some of the imagery immediately strikes me as cliche, upon closer inspection, I can FEEL the sincerity of it, so cliches be damned. I can't write from an emotional standpoint to save my life, so I look for it in the poetry of others. Thanks for providing it here.

Thank you and your welcome. I envy those with enough points to have contests because I recently joined and haven't really won anything yet, so I lack points
