The...Last...Survivor.

My sweet darkness

I plead….hide me

in your fold.

Betrayal seeps

wounds

upon my shattered soul.

My sweet darkness

I plead….hide me

in your fold.

Wicked stalks

devouring

and I am all alone.

My sweet darkness

I plead….hide me

in your fold.

Preserve

my innocence

among damnations souls.

Author notes

Contest prompt: inspiration Powerful poem by Poet Skid Row.."in a darkened room"

i wrote as the voice...hiding in the dark.....praying in her own survivor way
for the darkness to protect her.... against the violation of damnations vile tortures.
it's actually a very innocent and desperate prayer.

    I loved this poem ...

for healing is a matter of perspective ... Betrayal and wickedness cannot destroy those who desensitize the soul by confronting their fears ... And this is exactly what you did in your poem.

    Poetry therapy at its best.

    Blessed be.

    Love
    Myra

I love how you made darkeness grow life. It is your friend, a person to hide into. Very good job, poet!

    What a dark plea

and what a very good dark piece this is! Wow, it felt cold and lonely in my mind as I read this. You just 'put' me in this place with your amazing skill! lots of luck to you in the contest!

Ooh, I like this. It is dark, but you're right, does seem more like a very vulnerable prayer. Well done.

    Hey
I like this one. But i reckon you dont need the ... in there, just use a comma :]

I like the theme behind it, but i think these lines dont really make sense: Betrayal seeps

    wounds

    upon my shattered soul.

so Yeahh. Just some suggestions, but overall pretty good :]
