Fly my colors in wind-blown allegiance,
oak and maple
blowing seed to follow sun
in freedom’s feather,
my panting heart, your wilder weather
in wetter whisper of warm to flutter.
My mountain moves in higher day,
mouth, as curve, caressing cradle,
our sensual summer,
June's dry wings
of aspen illumination.
You have been my aspiration,
where angel bends in taste of Colorado,
filter feeding tongue to tremble,
tasting more than older rock,
in friendship frail,
as willow's wandering,
this sandstone tower, our formidable power,
in hour living life,
as simple soul-kiss.
Write my stone in mountain lying down,
this horizontal thinking,
brain cloud,
shrinking,
singing independence,
where season drips
to more than river,
splendor spilling splash,
such unfolding rush
of lush to flush collected reservoir,
holding dam in higher reputation,
floating raft
in subtle drift of sunset swift,
infatuation’s wave,
sweet rippled crave
of cave's fresh thunder,
here now to save,
my love's intense,
and silent surrender.

"my panting heart, your wilder weather

Sighhh...Sensual, serene, soulful, my Friend...it surrounds one with a gentleness not found upon other, more distant landscapes. Good luck in Lynda's contest, Scribe of such slow, sweet songs to come.
