The White Waters of Life

Sailing through life the rocks seem to bite
Racing the White waters by day and by night,
Fighting the Battles for the ones left behind
Nobody cares if there Soldiers go blind,

Nobody remembers the Names of the Hero's who die
Nobody remembers the names of the one's who lie,
Bodys covered in sand, There dog tags renched off
Limbs blown apart But for what? For you!

Sailing through life the rocks seem to bite
Racing the White waters by day and by night,
Fighting the Battles for the ones left behind
Nobody cares if there Soldiers go blind,

Men crying in gutters unable to fight
Others looking for Hero's well into the night,
Running the Rapids where the white waters flow
I'm nobodys Hero! Just a son dont you know,

Sailing through life the rocks seem to bite
Racing the White waters by day and by night,
Fighting the Battles for the ones left behind
Nobody cares if there Soldiers go blind,

Death waits for us all under the Desert sky
The White Waters of sand dunes closing on by,
We are nobodys hero's & nobodys friends
But we are the Soldiers who will fight till the end.

The flow in this is very good, the rhythm and rhyme keep the reader interested without sounding forced. Beautiful ideas, well penned.

interesting take on the prompt but I like it.
Soldiers often do not see things the way other people do esp when they are the ones fighting the war.
