No one
Ever
Kissed my
Skinned
Knees
When I
Fell
So I
Learned
To get up
And keep
Walking
No one
Ever
Hugged me
When I
Cried
So I
Learned
To stop
Crying
No one
Ever
Took care
Of me or
Gave me
A free
Ride
This is
Why
I have
The
Strength
To ride
Free

Love this, simple and strong. People should get some love and sympathy but too much and they will never learn to stand up by themselves as they should.

excellent expression
You have expressed yourself so well in this poem. I guess there are many of us who didn't get the kisses and the hugs, as children, that maybe we should have. On the other hand, it did build strength of character for us.
Great write my friend...Good luck in the contest!
