Freedom born before twilight skies,
as the roaring of trade winds
press against nubile flesh.
Soul unleashed from cloaks of burden,
I will stand in silence
before the rising tide, awaiting judgment.
I do not fear the fading light
that lives within your eyes,
fully accepting fate will leave obstacles
on whichever path is traversed.
Emotions and spirit burnt raw,
yet I refuse to pander to whims of angst.
I will go forth and fly in formation
with the doves that define my destiny.
