Star Ship June 2008
It’s a long, long road
To God knows where
Celestial wind
Blows through your hair
As I watch you;
Wraith like, disappear
Into the fading light
I knew someday
You’d go away
Knew that your soul was grieving
Watched the stars
Through prison bars
For your time of leaving
Kiss me now
And kiss me deep
Before you’re out of sight…
***
Cos there’s a ship out on
The Milky Way
Tonight
