I sat in the doctor's chair and explained:
"I had a go at my boss and, erm, I got rather heated."
The doctor said, "OK. Trouble sleeping?"
"Yes," I replied. "I sometimes get, what, three to four hours."
And with this she said, "You're depressed. I am giving you Citalopram."
Depression? Me? Ha ha ha. See I am happy;
But obviously not. It all became clear:
The mood swings, the anxiety
The worsening relationship
The stress and pressure at work
I just couldn't cope.
I am having two weeks off
As I get used to the meds
And the side effects weaken
As small pills fix my head.
