Slowly Sinking

Deeper into this dark sea I sink
Its cold water pushes in from every angle
So far down now
I am the only light

My life is the sea
Always has been
Always will be
Cold despair the only constant

Screams are lost down here
Tears are never seen
Try so hard to hide fear
Long since sank under in-between

The rocky bottom lingers below
Drifting lazily toward me
But death comes slow
Shall I ever be free
