you held my heart close
wishing you had been my first
my first everything
yet time passes quickly by
unnoticed we waste to old
touched deeply inside
wonder I survived so long
without sincere love
now I betrothed without you
my impatience fooled me
crying one more chance
to be youthful as your wife
mother of our child
to give life's gifts united
a child of our legacy
my soul screams for more
yet knows it shall never be
as our tears mingle
another plan is intact
but our love shall still survive
though much older now
this sweet ardor lives in clouds
of white soft cotton
cuddling closely knowing
love never grows old for us
