concrete

my concrete shoes wont seem to dry
they're twenty minutes past due
i think i'll give it another try
but i could never do it as well as you

i plan to sink beneath the sea
the same He walked upon with grace
i know you'll most certainly disagree
and that brings a smile to my face

i wont beg for your quaint miracles
it doesn't take much to not float
please don't try to save my soul
i wont be another reason to gloat

    mmm?

Im not so sure what you mean by this, but it was well written. A nice play on words, but that it may be offensive to me and others of my faith. GB anyway

what i meant in this poem was a man who is very self righteous and acts like he is the best thing that happened to you. it's a work of satire to express how the said person thinks of himself so high, that i compared him to jesus.

I love the opening of this piece, it's stellar. While dark, it is woven quite brilliant and makes a solid impact. Bravo!
