Pirate in the Work Place

The only time of day I get from you is when you look at your watch
I could walk by with a patch on my eye
Limp with a wooden peg leg and it wouldn’t mean a thing
I’ve got two legs, two arms, with a beating heart
In your everyday life I blend right in with every other upright walking human

With nothing good to say
With actions that never speak louder than words
I become white paint splashed onto a white billboard
The object is apparent but the image is obscured

The only time of day where things seem to go my way
Is when I pretend you’re not heading home to your family
Instead you’re chasing me around to put on your living room wall
Cause I’m a six point at the least
Something to look at from time to time
And a interesting start up conversation piece

I really don’t have anything good to say
My actions never speak louder than words
I’m just white paint splashed onto a white billboard
The object is apparent but the image is obscured

Please tell me what you think

Powerful write. I liked the ending of this. It seemed very metaphorical. It's like how people may feel invisible sometimes when they are somewhere, but others just don't acknowledge their presence. Thanks for sharing and keep writing.
