Drops sparking and spiraling down,
cavorting
on cloudy puddled pavement.
Breeze held still in stiff limbo.
Ponderous and patient
as the storm rages.
Thunder peals,
singing out pure pleasure.
Rolling through thick crowded skies.
Earth quakes and convulses in excitement...
as I stand firm in the center.
Drunk with rain.
High in wind.
Tripping on earth.
Intoxicated by the force and beauty of nature.

You know, I just wanted to BE that image you used.
I loved this tripping free verse that lilts like the rain down the page. Heaven to earth, earth to heave. Nicely stated dear poet. I enjoyed this very much.
