Optional
If someone says,
“I love my God”
And yet,
“I hate my brother.”
If someone begs,
“Forgive me Lord!”
Yet won’t,
Forgive another,
If someone preaches,
“Follow Christ”,
And yet,
Breaks holy vows,
This behavior,
I have found,
My Lord and God,
Allows!
But if you tell me,
“You are wrong,
They need,
A reprimanding!”,
I will point to,
Three such ones,
Still sitting,
In “good standing”
And if you say,
“There is a new,
Commandment,
To fulfill.”,
I will point to three,
Who hate,
And say,
“It’s optional”.
