Left Behind
I lay still in the silent mist of night.
Listening for the solid bliss of someone's cry.
Fear and shock raid my mind as my body is bound to be left behind.
Sight is black with the taste of blood.
I fear no evil to what has been done.
Body stiff with the ache of rape.
I lay and wonder if its safe
Testing, lifting and wondering why I do not cry?
Is it because I am use to the lie.
Should I pry into the mind and make my body race to die?
As I lay still in the silent mist of night.
Listening for the solid bliss of no ones cry.
Fear and shock erase my mind as my body is left behind.

a horrible occurence turned into a beautiful writing. it takes great talent to turn something so vicious and cruel into something that flows good and is a beautiful piece. great job. did this happen to you? Well I can relate to this poem. It's not a pretty thing BUT it does make for more strength!
