I'm not sure if you want me to be critical or not of your first piece. I like the filters you used to make the texture on the right side, but I'd fade it into a solid background color to make the text a little more readable. You tried my pixel stretching technique behind the name, but it doesn't look that good (no offense). Also, under the layers panel (go to windows > layer) select the text layer and lower the opacity. Helps fade it in. Also, if you click the button in the bottom left corner of the layers panel you can add effects to the text. So play around with that. Also, you didn't use the plugin I told you about to make it seamless. Did you install it? If so once you are done with the bg go to Layers and at the bottom click merge all. Then use the plugin to make it seamless.
Not trying to sound harsh, but just showing you how to be better. Lovely job on your first background. This may sound like I dislike it, but not at all

wow this is a stunning background and is amazingly put together fititng the taf as well. i love the whole style of it and may just drop out of making background now haha

Omfg! I love the tag! Enter it in the contest! Although I am afraid I'm not quite sure I understand both pictures in the background/border. The rose looks okay but may I ask what's with the secon picture?
