Both of these are very much on the edge of design.
Your (minor) treatment of the title works well with these designs. I would have to agree that the first design says all you are trying to say with the second design, more poetically and less directly. Both show the great degree of skill in manipulation and design you have achieved.

Wow this is Edgy and surreal. I swear that butterfly was around in the seventies. The second one gives me this urge to call you Clarice. LOL Might have to get a Mod to remove it just Kidding...
I think the second is a bit confronting not sure I would pick it up More run from it LOL but your first one is Smoking very classy easily the best I have seen so far Dam that includes mine
