Time passes
seasons change
as tides ebb and flow
stealing you away
memories unfold
like grains of
shivering sands
blowing across
the desert of my
corrugated heart
each one encapsulated
with in it's own
prestine cocoon
threatening to
unfurl as the winds
blow softly against
the velvet window
pane of a soul
shattered with grief.
No time to look
back upon what was
as what is and what
will be replaces the
steps better off
untraced allowing
the memories to
slip and slide ever
further away
bitter tears of
anger and frustration
not knowing which
direction to turn
sting the blades of
once green grass
falling falling
unbiden
unseen
unheard
the stillness of
heart break unspoken
silent sobs gasping
choking from with in
the tears simply
fall invisible
like cut glass
shattered by the
brilliance of the
sun
and again I am
undone
Author notes
Will I ever wake up and not feel this awful feeling inside?
