the world keeps ever turning right within his hand.
Another precious teardrop rolls gently down his cheek,
as innocence is shattered among the small and meek.
Preyed upon by strangers as the object of their lust,
into a life of sexual slavery sold by those they trust.
Eyes full of confusion and tears from breaking hearts,
another pounding fist of rage brings broken body parts.
Chioring bells of heaven ring an angel has come home,
aborted by her mother from a peaceful nesting dome.
Unborn life just tossed away with seemingly no merit,
numbers over fifty million how much longer can I bear it.
Malnourished swollen bellies in never ending pain,
are worked to sheer exhaustion for just a bowl of grain.
Observing every corner east to west and north to south,
tears replaced with anger but no words come from my mouth.
This was not the plan God had in mind for his human race,
time to show my father's wrath and put them in their place.
These precious children above all are treasures of the earth,
gold nor silver or rarest stone can measure what they're worth.
Time is drawing to a close they'll soon be safe with me,
living on in Heaven's Eden in joyful bliss eternally.
The scales of justice balanced as abusers meet their fate,
a devil's hell with hungry demons the firey home awaits.
Author notes
I wrote this from the picture promt wondering what would most bring tears to the eyes of Jesus. As I look around our world and watch the news it seems there is no longer any value of human life especially for children. And when judges continually give a slap on the wrist to child sexual preditors after they have robbed innocence and destroyed the life of a child well...I think that would more than anything bring tears to the eyes of Jesus...

Excellent Write
I think this poem speaks volumes of the realities and truths of our lives today and around the world. The picture is so perfect with this poem. Jesus is crying for all those precious innocent people that have been preyed upon with evil deceit by Satan himself and his demons. Yes without repentance they all will go to hell. We must come to the Father and recieve Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior in order to have salvation from the sin we are slaves too. But this isn't just by accepting Jesus as our Savior it's also by allowing the Holy Spirit to dwell within you and a surrender of your own will and pride and through prayer asking for guidence in overcoming addictive sin and abuse that you do in your life that not only hurts others but also the Lord that is why He is in tears. But your own sin you are miserable in your behaviors and not at all free. So very sad for those that don't believe!!!!!
It really is simple to just turn your life over to the Lord and to do his will for the burden is light but
there is a battle out there. The good news is JESUS ALREADY WON THE BATTLE FOR US!!!!!! THIS WE MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER.
Oh Toni your heart is of PURE LOVE IN CHRIST OUR LORD and for those that know him and for those that don't... I just love you my sweet sister. Congradulations on the HM...
Wishing You Many Blessings
Much Love Always,
Your Sister & Friend,
Kelle Marie

Breathtaking, meaningful, saddening. I do not believe in God, Jesus, or anything of that but I do believe that every word of this poem is completely meaningful and emotionaly felt. A wonderful poem. Thank you for entering my contest, I'm glad I got the chance to read this.

Ok - I'll Try
Hi Toni - as long as we (man) think we can administer righteousness by any other means except God's Word - all these things you mentioned will carry on - sad to say - I am a little disturbed that a graven image of Jesus was used as a prop - all the things you mention would bring tears to His eyes I'm sure - I believe we are His eyes as well - judgment is coming for the evil doers - they will reap their reward for sure, Bless God Toni - Joe - (Dobar Dan)

This is a wonderful poem. I loved it from start to finish. Only an HM? You must have been up against some serious competition. The message is very well delivered. And, it is a very timely message. The rhyme and flow are flawless. This is very, very good.
Exquisite.

I dont know about Jesus, but these things certainly bring tears to my eyes. I think somewhere along the way something has gone wrong...
Children deserve their innocence.
Sometimes families have to sell their children to slavery, just to feed the rest of their family.
And then there's those who just don't care about what their taking, and you're right, they're not punished enough.
It's a screwed up system, that NEEDS to change.
Thanks for the poem
~cheers

Poignant!
An extremely powerful piece that draws
attention to the madness of men.
How could anyone stoop so low as to
enslave childern. God is not pleased
and the workers of these atrocities will
suffer his great wrath. The bible says,
"It would be better for you to tie a mill
around your neck and be plunge into the sea
than to touch one of my little ones."
I applaud you for exposing this demonic
pratice. Well done my sister

Goosebumps! Especially when you read it over twice, and realize all of it is (sadly) very true. I love your interpretation of the pic, and good for you, for mentioning the little nooks and crannies of the earth that society generally neglects. Thanks for entering!

Brilliant
Oh how I feel this way with this picture as well. The tear as Jesus holds the world and watches all the trajedy and pain from all over the world. This is another excellent poem out of you. The ryhme, rhythm and flow is excellent. Yes it brings tears to my eyes to that there is so much pain down here on this earth but as you said there is hope! Only through him does Heaven await and there will be no more pain just eternal happiness with our Father and friends. Then those that have chosen to live in their evil way will pay for God himself said so and they will burn eternal Hell. Very bold and so true. Exellent job on this one seeing the world through Jesus's eyes. Excellent write my dear friend.
Wishing you many blessings
Much Love

this makes me want to cry, it's hard to think that things like this still happen in modern day. it saddens me the people that try to justify enslaving a child and stealing away their innocence, i wish there was more that we could do, this is very well written, kudos on being brave enough to write this piece..great job!

Beautiful!
This was a beautiful poem.. It brought me to tears.. You really took that picture and took us into it..I started to cry so hard when I read that second stanza.. I can relate to that stanza so well... There was just so much imagery in this write.. You did a wonderful job.. And the emotions that were hidden within your words were just so intense it touches the readers heart.. This was also thought provoking.. What does the son of God really think about the world and how it turned out? What does he think of His Fathers children? this was such a beautifully touching write... Thank you very much for sharing this with us here on AP...

May we never give up BOLD HOPE...

only US...to find our voice and mightily UPLIFT truth and value
once again respecting each one's differences.
Lovely time ahead of us....many are finally awakening,
feeling the pinch of their wallets.
I adored your poem...strength and might within it!
