The Humility of Futility

One million ambitions, only one life,
The paradox of being, and how it is strife,
Uncertainty and questions, fill existance in rife,
But without them, were dead in a moment of life.

life is joy, life is pain,
It's no wonder then they are one and the same,
From the loss of joy we acquire pain,
And joy arises from the latter's refrain.

Life is contradiction, that is a fact,
Those that claim different are just performing an act,
The search for wisdom is really quite exact,
But the answers you find will all be abstract.

So do we give up, do we submit,
The solution my friend, is life we must outwit,
To beat it we live and never must quit,
Forget the futility, for it will never remit.

A very philosophical write. Many truths are written here. We all must live our lives to learn in the end.

I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
