Black Hole

(Love, Love)
I thought I was in love
(Dove, Dove)
Why would you betray me?
(Death, Death)
Freezing up my life
(Breath, Breath)
And yet I must go on!

Black hole, you're eating at me
You won't let me be
'til you're pushing me away

You'll tear my soul into two
I know that it's true
As you're pushing me away
Away
Away...

(Need, Need)
I'll take you in my arms
(Feed, Feed)
And hope you will fulfill me
(Pain, Pain)
I'll never get enough
(Vain, Vain)
As long as I am empty!

Black hole, you're wearing me thin
And I'm giving in
While you're pushing me away
Our future's looking so bleak
And I'm getting weak
As you're pushing me away!

I never will live again
I never will love again
I never will give again
I never will trust again

I'll never be whole again
I'll never be whole again
I'll never be whole again
...I'll never be whole again

Black hole, you're eating at me (eating at me)
Wearing me thin (and I'm giving) push me away
Our future's (torn into two, and I'm getting weak)
Know that it's true
As you've pushed me away

    Welcome to AllPoetry

Aww... this reminds me of when I felt this way too. At first I just thought this was sort of cliche, but I love the rhythm, it makes the whole thing so much more intense than your usual heartbreak poem. I could imagine it sung by two vocals growing louder and higher, over something like piano or guitar with drums... sorta like the beginning of "All About Us" from tATu. Anyway, I like the black hole wearing me thin bit. I'd love to hear this as a song, it's the kind of thing I'd listen to and sing along with all day. Keep writing

    • If anything, I think the melody I saw was similar to Duran Duran's "Come Undone", but yeah, most of my recent poetry is meant as a song. Thanks for replying!
