Echoing
The hoot of an owl resounds
Accompanied only by the chattering of my teeth
Like dry bones clattering
As my breath billows
In the predawn air
I came
Because there was nowhere else to go
The flowers in the fields had withered
The mountains had crumbled
And the splendors of the cities were leveled
It was quick, it was swift
In the blink of an eye
My world crumbled around me
Maybe the shattering of daybreak
Will take me
Before the sun melts everything
As I wait

enjoy.
