Usually hearing true beauty comes from within
Words of wisdom is what I declare them
For what mainly matters comes from the heart
Sexual attraction, needed for intimacy
Everyone searching in others for what they want and love
Making everyones lover different from another
This beautiful corrupted world, has someone for everyone
People not wanting to wait or making bad judgments
Humans, finding comfort in trying to make everyone similar
Because most are scared of difference
Woman, love looking, feeling, attractive and special
Advertisements saying looking a certain way is how you achieve this
True beauty, what you think of yourself and feeling comfortable with it
Finding that someone who also loves you for you is best
Society creating low self esteems, causing problems in the world
People being blind to this truth is hurtful to all!!!
Author notes
Once people can accept and love themselves for who they are. Only then will this nonsense end of people falling for society's looks. Many people hurting physically, emotionally, and mentally over not being what society says is sexy, cute, beautiful, and hot. All this pain could end if people would see they are fine they way they are. If you will start arguing with me about fat people well there is a difference between good looking and healthy. You weigh around 300lbs and you're female. Well hopefully you're a giant or it's mostly muscle because if not then you need to lose weigh for health reasons not for looks. So figure out what you are and accept it or change!!!

u have awesome points in this one. we all want to fit in and belong somewhere but afraid to step up and be who we are. then we scorn those who really are being themselves because their 'weird'
this should SOOO be made into a comercial or song and played around the world. it speaks tons!!!!!!

I liked this. I'm currently fighting w/ an Eating disorder I thought I had bested. This really hit me.

I agree with that completely, in the logical part of me. the problem is, there are also other parts of me. Parts that say "he can't just love you for you, because no one wants someone like you. he must have some ulterior motive..."
I'm glad to see poems like this circulating though... As I'm hoping someone that's teetering on the edge of this hell can see it and decide to run full speed in the opposite direction. Thanks for your insight, it is much appreciated.

good points here! I agree we put too much emphasis on shallow beauty, and need to think more about inner beauty...this is the way it works in our country, beauty, youth and sex seem to go together at times. Nice write!

wow... This was really intense hun.. But you are very right.. People nowdays what to be like that modle in the picture, don't want to eatanything because they might gain five pounds for a pea... But it doesn't matter if you look likea modle, or anything like that.. what matters is that you think your beautifuland stuff..
