What's In A Name

Distinguish between the man and the boy
Underneath words he cowers and hides
Silent were his steps but vicious was his breath
Talented for lies and deceit
Inside his body, I saw his fear of his own soul
Never knowing himself, just the lies as he stood on his knees

Something inside him persuades him to laugh
The slaughter,the laughter,
to him they are one in the same
I can not love what was never really there
The boy stood in front of me,
and claimed to be a man,
there all I saw was the ice in his eyes
the coal in his heart
everything I could see through
even a demanding soul
forceful, and manipulative
really, what is in a name?

This poem is partly an acrostic. There is a name in the capital letters along the side, and the poem comes out of it hence the title and the end line. Mainly talking about how I finally saw what this person was really made of.
