Water cycle

~Dust settles over a blue lagoon~
~Particles suspended atop liquid, motion fails~
~Stagnant water sits and waits~
~Rot of micro-organism as darkness prevails.~

~Clear substance, sustenance of life~
~Which once trickled and flowed with glee,~
~Trapped by dark and dingy rock tomb~
~Stillness, patiently waiting to again be free.~

~The groan of a beast, bending of steel girders~
~Foundations shook, mighty caves crack apart~
~Water seeps, as though testing new release,~
~Then flows and gushes back to the start.~

Author notes

Yes, It's a little wierd, and 'sciency'. Someone told me I can't use the word 'micro-organism' in a poem, but meh, I do what I want XD
Anyway, why can't science be beautiful? I sure love it
Not exactly sure where this poem came from to be honest, I was bored (I had outdoor ed)

Science if beautiful if you don't think so then nature can't be beautiful and micro-organism can so be in a poem!
