The world grows cold,
As they scream and yell,
Or the lies that keep,
Insisting on getting told.
Horrible grades and,
'Broken' hearts,
Smashed dreams and,
Unfufilled wishes.
People who lie,
Who yell and taunt me,
Mock me,
To my face,
Or the exboyfriend,
Who cheated and lied and,
Used me like a parasite uses,
An unsuspecting host.
It doesn't matter to you,
You laugh and taunt me too,
But there's a difference in your words,
They're meant to wash away the hurt,
It's a running joke nothing more than a game,
It's all you want to wrap your arms around me and keep me safe,
To kiss away the stupid idea of blood on my wrists,
Or even to laugh at my tentitive return-kiss.
You seem cold and uncaring,
You get angry when you catch me staring,
And more often than naught you're off,
Flying with the Raven or alof,
With the Shadows and Despair,
Normal people wouldn't think you could care.
And even if Death knows you by name,
Even if they don't understand how your heart is tamed,
I know you care enough to hold,
Enough to comfort and consol,
Even if you are something that I made,
You are something that all others can hate,
Simply because they can't have,
My Kage-sauma, my Shadow-man.

This is tender and touching. Much enjoyed. The lines 'Used me like a parasite uses,
An unsuspecting host' were lovely.
