Elegant beauty
dressed in purples and blues,
tainted with slights of black,
painted purity in the works.
Somber recollections-
attributes put on hold as
the world fights about it
trying to find someone to take the blame.
Silenced by insecurities,
the beauty melts and fades away,
leaving dust upon a piano key
of dreams that once meant something.
Dreams that could have created a world
filled with delight and vigor,
instead wilt within the mind
of a mute poet, a saddened soul.
