Let it be known, on this day
That the Freedom Family has passed away
Suspicious circumstances, none survived:
No need to mourn or grieve or cry.
There will be a procession though,
With flowers for the kids to throw.
Then solemnly they'll be cremated,
Their ashes, in urns, venerated,
And every year, upon this day,
Their great lives commemorated.
Their wealth, to no one, was bequeathed,
No Will left in case of decease.
Their assets will be liquidated:
To the highest bidder, sold as rated.
And that gray gravestone over there
shall read: Here lie our Freedoms bare.
Please tell me what you think

This was a beautiful write expressing the sadness that people feel when others pass away. I liked the last line the best. It seemed like it could have a double meaning, like not only like the name of the family, but maybe like a feeling of a person's spirit being free. Thanks for sharing and keep that pen flowing.
