Out of the clouds she appears
like an aparition from the Heavens.
An angel as benevolent as can be
with eyes as blue as the sea
and glistening golden locks of hair
glowing with the sun's rays.
Balanced on the Rainbow's arch
her tiny tears fall to water the Earth below.
Each drop enhancing all that it touches
like a gentle hand bringng things to life.
A magical mystery this angel is
seen only when the warmth of the Earth
envelopes the World in it's loving embrace.
Her flowing gown melds with the clouds,
as if she is one with the clouds themself.
Some may see her tears as sorrow,
a melancholy look upon her face.
But, what she sheds is a yearning for growth.
Looking for those to see the love of the land.
To see how each tear drop washes you free
fueling new seeds to blossoming beauty.
Growing a garden deep within the Earth's soul
with roots so strong no storm can break
the bond that the Goddess of the Rain has planted.
So, with the next rainfall look closely at the sky
don't feel mournful or fill with gloom.
Look for the Goddess of Rain and let her set you free!

Your interpretation of the Rain Goddess was purely spectatcular. Truly a wonderful rendition of such a lady. I want to thank you for participating in the "Second Annual Goddess of Rain' contest

PS: I will be reading all entries at the minimum of twice to give maximum consideration.

This portrays a very lovely vision; you can imagine her there and feel the good she wants to become of the earth and her hope to help it achieve that beauty and peace.
