And the darkness envelopes light,
leaving nothing but broken promises,
and heartfelt lies within the ground,
freezing it to ice shattering realities
and lifting up the once driven moralities,
taking them far from her reach
Wishes fall on deaf ears and she
remembers each and every single time
someone had left her to die in the cold,
unaware of the affect it would have
And it's no wonder that this rose
can never find enough nourishment;
she's frozen in time on a desert
where there is no water to spare
and no comfort to be found for miles
Life was never a fairytale for her
No one's coming to rescue her;
they've all forgotten the location,
or maybe they just don't care enough
to notice that maybe she could use a friend
It's all another round about way of saying
that she's undeserving or trust and love
The honesty she put into her entire life,
the loyalty she gives of so freely, denied
No one has the time of day to offer her
that little ounce of reassurance she needs
But then, she had always been alone
Ever since she can remember,
everyone had always left her starving
and never bothered to look back
She should have never gotten her hopes up
Even on a screen, she is worthless, though
she is unable to be seen by anyone here
She should have known she couldn't escape
from the depths of loneliness devouring her soul
Perhaps this is karma's way of telling her...
"You don't deserve to find a home."
