Hiss of sizzling log
heaps ashes on flash crackles
beneath smoky fog

    Warming ...

This reminds me that as we had no summer, we must be heading from autumn into winter so it's time to hibernate for a few months in front of a real roaring fire. I have the pleasure of central heating and some imagination

Great imagery but I think this is the perfect example of a Haiku-like poem that could have been better if you had not tried to rhyme. "Flash crackle"... love that.
