A Little Curious

"What a beautiful day"
I said to myself as I was walking in the park
I was just strolling along
Then all of a sudden my eyes widened
As I gazed upon flowers
That were paprika red and
Looked as if it descended boldly from heaven
I looked at the flowers and asked

"Oh flowers, oh flowers! Why are you so precious? Oh how does your beauty, which flows like milk and honey, catches everyone's eyes? Oh tell me, tell me please! I want to know, I'm just a little curious." The flowers did nothing bud radiate its loveliness.

I started to stroll along once again
Then all of a sudden my nose picked up a scent
That was as sharp as a dog
I could tell they were herbs just by their scent
They were Rosemary, Basil, Thyme, and Mint
I savored the smell and asked

"Oh herbs, oh herbs! Why do you smell so fresh? Oh how does your smell, which is just like mom's kitchen, excites everyone who inhales? Oh tell me, tell me please! I want to know, I'm just a little curious." The herbs did nothing but spice up the dirt.

I started to stroll along yet once again
But then my ears stood up
Strong and erect and larger than an elephant's
I knew by the sound it was the chirping of the birds in the midday
Who coats were of periwinkle and a light gray
I looked at the birds and asked

"Oh birds, oh birds! Why do sound so delightful? Oh how does your hymns, that sounds just like an angel's haven, exhilarates everybody who hears it? Oh tell me, tell me please! I want to know, I'm just a little curious." The birds did nothing but chirped and flew away.

I started to stroll along yet once again
But then my tongue dripped with saliva like a waterfall
Savoring the taste of the sweet but tart flavor of the
Christmas red fruits that grew on the cherry orchard
I went and picked a few and ate a few and asked

"Oh cherries, oh cherries! Why do you taste so delicious? Oh how does your flavor distinct, just like the sun, brings joy to those who eat it? Oh tell me, tell me please! I want to know, I'm just a little curious." The cherries did nothing but swelled unto my hand.

I started to stroll along yet once again
Until my hands had the urge to feel
To feel a nearby bunny so cute and fuzzy
Who's coat was soft as a baby's bottom
And warm like the hot sand at a beach
I stroked the bunnies coat and asked

"Oh bunny, oh bunny! Who are you so soft? Oh how does your coat, soft as a blanket, cozies up every one who touches it? Oh tell me, tell me please! I want to know, I'm just a little curious." The bunny just stared at me then hopped away

I looked back at everything then I smiled and laughed
"My curiosity has gotten the best of me before."

    Aloha! and thanks for entering...

I hope we are still friends after this! But this is more prose, than poetry....Your ideas are great...
this just isn't poetic form....I will re write a couple lines...and show you...
    Strolling through the park,
    thinking "what a beautiful day."
    Suddenly, my eyes widened,
as I spotted paprika red flowers,
decending from heaven..... don't say looked like...
anyway....I also asked for 20 lines or less...because it makes it tighter....You have repeated words time and again...not good in poetry...the thoughts, words,
imagery are lovely....if you would like to edit and re write I can help you...if interest...if not...that's cool too!
    Write on...score in final notes.
