Some people ask me in whom do you believe
Other say believe in what where does it take you
I think, I ponder and I conceive
It’s my higher power that’s whom I receive
There is no name I put to it
So no man can tear it down
It doesn’t have face
It doesn’t wear a crown
It comes without a sermon
But, It’s always by my side
I couldn’t live without it
It’s part of my sense of pride
I believes yours is right for you
By what ever name chose
So long as you have your higher power
You can never lose

I can't read this one and not comment. Everyone must ahve something to believe in and everyone else should respect that. Well thought out and well written.

Why does religion deserve respect? Why should I, a rational human being, respect people who literally believe that a man was born of a virgin, walked on water, turned water to wine, died on a cross (the only believable part so far), came back from the dead and then physically ascended to heaven?

Nice thoughts to ponder on
