Waiting
And waiting...
And waiting.
Seeking
Answers
Or at least, peace.
Watching for guidance
But I am so easily
Distracted...
And life is distracting.
Do you think I have
Time
To sit on my knees
For hours?
If it will come in a whisper
How could I possibly
Turn off
The noise
So I can hear it?
Send me an answer
In blazing neon lights
Otherwise
I might miss it.
Patience
Discernment
I sorely lack
Is this how I improve?
But I'm starting to get very
Impatient...
Waiting

Facedown, waiting.

Waiting on You.

Please, please, please comment- and honestly. :-)

Well-written account of something we all have a problem with, if we are looking for answers from Him at all. You probably remember the story of Elijah, the prophet, who waited in a cave once for a message from God. And it did not come in an earthquake, wind, or fire, but in a "still, small voice," in the words of one translation. But you have it right in the last line, like Psalm 39:7. I bet you could have written this whole Psalm!

Yes, I thought of Elijah when I was writing. I went and looked up the Psalm, and you are so right. :-) Thanks always for your encouragement. Blessings!
