Heartbreak

So, It's happened again,
Someone has lied,
Someone has cheated.

But I never expected it to be you,
I thought that you were trusting,
And I thought you were real.

But once again I was wrong,
Once again I was hurt,
But thats okay.



Cause I'm used to heartbreak.

    this is very beautiful, you must not let your heart be shattered by people who are not devoted to love you like you should. I love the flow of it.     i think that part of the power in this poem is that it is short. you portray your point effectively and truthfully, which can be appreciated by any reader. thank you for a wonderful read.

    Think it says everything you want it to say as is, and says it well. Powerful write!! It's sad that the write came about because you had to deal with someone who hurt you, but it's a great piece.

    How very true...

    Sadly this piece is so very true. I understand deeply the cruelty that others are capable of...I live with it every day. This is short, but fraught with depth and meaning. Great write/read. ~mandie~

    I don't think it needs any more.

    The point you illustrate is vivid and sharp with the current length. Similarly, the wording used makes the point very precise, and painful to not only think about, but downright painful to envision.

    Very good.
