A Strange Sight Did I See Today

Well hi again my dear friends, have I got a tall tale to tell you today.
I was out for one of my many walks, and I saw this young fellow sitting on the bench by himself, smoking, now this I know is nothing to write about, but the stuff he was smoking was the evil weed.
You’re probably saying how could you tell ?
Well the cloud of smoke it was making was pretty distinctive, and a wife of it actually crossed my nose.
No doubt in my mind, this fellow was on his way to being stoned.
Now I tell you truly, I have never smoked a day in my life.
But in University, all of the kids in the dorm of course would be smoking it.
So for a few minutes I let my mind wander back in time, to when I was a student at Brock University in
St. Catherines, oh so many years ago.
I remember on my first night there my car stereo was stolen and all of my eight tracks  ! ( Remember them ! )
I remember going to see Freddy and Eddy at the Welland House every Monday night after bowling.
I remember going to mass at St. Julia’s at the bottom of Clifton Hill.
I remember play chess at the Chinese Food place with my good friend Fr. Rick Grecco our chaplain.
I remember renting an apartment with my buddy Al in our third year.
I remember so many things, from just watching that smoke curl up in the sky.
I hope you have enjoyed my reminiscing as well my dear, dear friends.
It’s getting late and I must retire to my bed.
