With the lazy taste of time,
I sway within your gaze.
Your fingers stuck beneath my skin,
I'm lost within this haze.
I could try to be the petty things
I sometimes envy but am not.
But I'd rather go with honesty,
than know that you've forgot.
The absence is lonely and stinging,
the bite I can hardly bare.
I'm not sure how to make this not obvious,
I don't want to leave your stare.
We waste soft nights perfectly,
moments within themselves collapse.
The mystery is I hope alluring,
my empty ringing: "perhaps."
A specific certainty is realized,
in discretion I'm hardly discreet.
I'm not sorry for what I am,
not sorry I am incomplete.
Author notes
Warm and alive I'm all over you,
would you smother me?

This flowed well and I felt it.
"The absence is lonely and stinging,
the bite I can hardly bare.
I'm not sure how to make this not obvious,
I don't want to leave your stare."
my favorite part - especialy the first two lines, great alliteration. -
