My Girlfriend and I

My girlfriend and I
We are quite a pair,
We both love each other
And we both really care.

We both fit together
Like two puzzle pieces;
If we were an iron,
We would smoothe all the creases.

Once in a while,
We may have a fight,
But I know we can fix it
And both be alright.

She means so much more
Than the whole world to me,
All my favorite words
Involve she, us, and we.

Its hard to be living
So far away;
I wish I could see her
Every day.

My girlfriend's amazing
And she says I am too;
We think about each other
The whole long day through.

When the two of us are talking
My heart spreads its wings,
And soars like an eagle
Each time that she sings.

I love when her voice
Bursts forth into song.
I could sit there and listen
At least all day long.

We both have some differences
But we both are the same;
We're identical pieces
Playing life's game.

Sometimes we laugh
And sometimes we cry,
But we'll forever be in love
My girlfriend and I.

    Thank you for entering This is a very nice write and reads very well, great rhyme and structure too! It's also very original in places and has a lovely positive atmosphere to it. I particularly like the verse:
    "We both fit together
    Like two puzzle pieces;
    If we were an iron,
    We would smoothe all the creases"
    and the lines:
    "All my favorite words
    Involve she, us, and we."
    Simple yet original and brilliant
