Melodies whip gently
wrapping my gown
The woodpecker pecks
as I traipse around
A quartet of chipmunks
a band of swallows
floating music on the air
deep in the march, follows
Giggles clearly are the sport
in a parade of petite wiles
As leaves like magic carpets
are ridden to anxious smiles
There on that ancient oak stump
a buffet to fill your homemade horn
Mulberry wine and honey cakes
blackberries and acorns
Roses, jasmine and orange blossom
are this day’s exotic perfume
Iridescent wings shower dust
upon a festival in full bloom

Ah, the Fey. You really captured their playful and colourful nature. I could really see this going further. Thank you for your entry, and best of luck!

a good poem, i like the smiles i find here though i thought it was for dark fantasy? that aside, whatever the contest is asking for i think this is good.
