The storm came,
bringing with it
a fear of bolts of lightening
and a terror of chunks of hail.
Hiding beneath a sheltering shed,
I held my breath.
Waters began to rise,
flooding higher and higher.
The rain blasted down.
Then, it stopped, just like that.
The noise ended.
All that was left
was a shower
and a rainbow.
I not only weathered the storm, riding it out,
But I, also, learned to dance
in the rain
and to appreciate
the mighty symbol of the rainbow.

Quite a story you tell here of the storms arrival and then its departure. We need the rain, but many are frightened of the lightning and thunder that often accompany these storms. The rainbows are so nice to see afterwards -
