Sometimes

Sometimes it is hard to know why things are the way they are.
It seems just when we feel we have something licked, another problem comes up.
I know that it is clique to say sooner or later everything will be alright.
Maybe you feel that it most likely the latter.
However we can certainly pray that it will indeed get much better.
And if our prayers mean anything you will.
So I suppose the best thing to say right now is hang tough.
Because we all know what it is like to be ill and not feel your best.
But we have all had those that have prayed for us and slowly but surely things did ease up. So I wish you that now.
Actually it is more than a wish it is my fervant prayer.
Believe me you are not alone.

Author notes

The last line in the poem is what a minister said to me in 2000 when I learned I had kidney cancer. You are not alone and Theresa I do hope you feel better soon.

A contest entry

A wonderful piece full of spiritual wisdom. Our healing is there for the asking and claiming. "On earth as it is in Heaven"

me, too - It is reassuring to know that things can and do ease up - it's not a cliche to hear that when you need that kind of reassurance. All the best to Tawk.
