It's too bad
love has to turn
to hate to end.
The sweet must turn
to bitterness
and then
I can look back
and not feel sad.
When all that
made me happy
makes me mad
When I can see
your face
and not feel pain,
only feel revulsion
when I hear your name.
When I have
turned the hurting
into anger
and you are
just another
total stranger,
It is too bad,
I will be glad.

so very true
-
This is very poignant, especially at the end. It's always very sad to me, when people dirft apart, and the end is especially moving, where the speaker wishes that they could just regard the person they had loved so much as a stranger, and not pay them a thought.

Good write here
Indeed its sad but oh so true for to let go means to move on -
Oh, how often have I wished that wasn't so. I've always tried to end relationships that didn't work out with some optimistic note. Seldom works. I know how you feel.

-
It is unfortunate that some relationships end so poorly. You have described the feelings that go along with the messy break-up well here. We all move on, eventually.
Great Big Sea has a song with the line:
"How did we get from saying I love you to I'll see you round some day?".
Good luck in the contest.
