Lacking Light

A life without love is a life lacking light
That is dim in the day but darkest at night
When the soul, fast asleep, cries softly to sleep
To hide in the shadows of dreams and to weep.
Each day that she lives is a day she will rue
If she can't share it with someone else too.
Hearts cannot thrive if they cannot share
A life full of loving trust and care.

Author notes

Well, it's not the best poem I'll grant you that. But I hope you like it anyway.

Very true. WIthout love we are bitter and cold and that is a life nobody should ever want to live. It's a sad and shattered life, that I'd wish on nobody.
