Teardrops Echoing Through the Silence

June 22 darkness fell
Upon a very special girl
Her baby taken from her arms
Like an Oyster losing its Pearl

With a pseudo explanation
They just took him away
Leaving her in tears
Falling where he used to lay

It was said to be for the babies good
To be taken from his loving mom
Authority figures don't stop to see
Even they just might be wrong

There are two sides to every story
I will admit to only have one
However this girl has a very big heart
Her world revolves around her son

In this 21st Century world
A great parent can be hard to find
This child belongs with his mother
To grow up and have a great mind

In this life there will be some who fail
And others who will succeed
Some will simply fall into the shadows
While others jump up and take the lead

This little man has all the potential
To be anything that he sees
With his mom's knowledge and guidance
He will soar to the top with ease

Hoping right now things worked out
That you are rocking him gently to sleep
And any tears are of happiness
With no more reason to weep.
