The sound of rain pounding down
The deep, crackling boom of thunder
A jagged streak of lightning
Illuminating a gray, cloudy sky
The wind blowing through the trees
The fresh, damp smell in the air
I'm spinning, I'm dancing, I'm doing cartwheels in the street
Soaking wet, hair plastered to my face
My clothes are heavy with water and clinging
People stare, I only laugh
I stand in the middle of the road, arms outstretched,
Face turned up to the stormy sky
Millions of crystalline rain drops falling all around
Dotting windows, wetting all
Their cleansing journey to blanket all in sight
Washing everything in pure, fresh water
Refreshing the world around
Natures own symphony
The crash of thunder mingling with the gentle noise of rain
The laughter of those such as I who revel in the storm
The quiet buzz of the insects
The dripping of water down a slick wall
The dark, cloudy canvas of the sky
The incredible, jagged lines of lightning
The haze created by the falling rain
Wet greenery
Darkened ground
Millions of ripples in freshly made puddles
The refreshingly wonderful experience
Created by a storm

Your best yet, in my opinion.
storms do take us into a completely different world.
And your thoughts are proof of this. You have taken me to that world. Your descriptive expressions are pretty awesome. you've accomplished here... something I would love to read in publication. Yes. It is just that well said. Like I say. ...your a real natural. Keep nurturing your love of writing every day!!!!
