Tiny Dancers

Tiny Dancers

The fairies come at evening light,
the little ones dance in the night.
The magic spells play in my mind;
with little ones of every kind.

The little ones are in my sight.
The fairies come at evening light.
They dance around and cause no harm,
they sing together arm in arm.

The evil ones are unaware,
they’ll never catch them in their snare.
The fairies come at evening light
and play their music so contrite.

If you believe then you will see,
that magic happens constantly.
To dance with them is pure delight,
the fairies come at evening light.

    Bravo

A wonderful--and complex--poem which matches the illo. There is nothing quite like fairies and poetry, they were certainly made for each other as this poem proves! bravo... bravo... bravo...

You make childhood fantasies come to life better than anyone. This is a great example. The language is accessable, the rhyming crisp. The wording simple, yet, with an air of sophistication! Bravo. Have some bunnies.

If it's fairies it's you! This is beautiful and I love the structure, it's light and fun.
You won't need it, but good luck in the contest...

    Love

    Simply beautiful!

I absolutely love this. Aneka would too, she is at my mom's for the school holidays, I will print and fax it to her so you can get a reply from another little tiny dancer.

The picture is so stunning, wish I could share it with her!

This is an absolute win!!! IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!

Beautiful write, Amera. This had a wonderful flow and beautiful imagery. This was a wonderful take on the pic and I liked the last stanza the best, especially the part about magic. It makes me think of how magic can happen so many times in life, even the simple things in life can sometimes seem magical. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest.
