Last year a boy and his mother were driving down a highway when a semi hit them.
Both lives were lost... they were not wearing a seat belt.
But that would never happen to me...
Last January a couple of friends were taking a spin around the block when they slid on ice into an oncoming car. The drive was thrown through the windshield and was pronounce dead on the scene. He never had on his seat belt.
But that would never happen to me...
On May 11, 2008 a group of four were driving to a store to get water ballons for a barbecue. My sister, Casey was sitting in the front passener seat when the back tire blew out. The driver lost control of the vehicle and as it flipped more than three times the three passengers, including my sister, was thrown from the vehicle.
She had a collapse lung and two hours later when they couldn't get her heart started back up, she was pronounced dead.
The sad thing is... that if Casey had been wearing her seat belt she would be with us today and I would have never had to write this...
The first two stories may be fictatious, but the last one is not.
Don't say it could never happen to you....
When my beatiful sister died... apart of me died along with her...
It happened to me.
Don't let it happen to someone you love... wear your safety belt.
